On Working for Free

If there are people making money from your writing, then you should be one of those people. It’s simple, right?

And yet some writers continue writing for the “exposure” because they believe it will help them get noticed and—maybe one day in the hopefully not-too-distant future—paid. Unfortunately, this is more likely to condemn them to literary serfdom.

If someone is making money from your writing, get paid NOW. If you need convincing, read No, In Fact, You Should Not Write For Free.
